Sarah Billings – started working with CENTROL in 2006.  Sarah grew up near Kennedy, MN and earned a Crop and Weed Science Degree with an Agribusiness Minor from North Dakota State University.  Sarah is also a Certified Crop Advisor. Sarah makes her home north of Harvey, ND with her husband, Chris, and dog Chevy.  She enjoys traveling, being outside, curling, snow-shoeing, and spending time with family and friends. Sarah says she loves being a crop consultant with CENTROL because “each day brings new challenges” and her co-workers and growers make work incredibly enjoyable.

Dennis Berglund – started with CENTROL in 1980 and is the CEO of Twin Valley CENTROL. He grew up in western North Dakota on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation. Dennis has an Ag degree in Microbiology from North Dakota State University, where he also worked as a Plant Pathology Research Technician and Plant Path Graduate Student.  He is a Past-President of the National Alliance of Independent Crop Consultants and is a Certified Professional Crop Consultant (CPCC-I), Certified Professional Agronomist (CPAg), Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) and Technical Service Provider (TSP).

He was recognized in 1995 as Consultant of the Year, and in 1999 received the Site-Liner Award, for the advancement of precision agriculture.  He has been interviewed by numerous farm journals, magazines and broadcast media, including Newsweek and PBS. He writes a weekly article on the internet that can be found at www.agprofessional.com.  He lives near Twin Valley, MN, with his wife, Annette. He enjoys guns, computer technology, coin collecting, motorcycles, learning, and traveling.

Lee Briese – received his Doctor of Plant Health from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Lee has been with CENTROL for over 20 years.

He enjoys working in the outdoors and communicating directly with farmers.

Lee utilizes his in depth knowledge of soils, crops and pests to help farmers build resilient agricultural systems to address crop production challenges.

Ryan Campbell – started with CENTROL in 2009. He grew up in Hannaford, ND and holds a B.S. in Crop and Weed Science from North Dakota State University. Before attending NDSU he served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force where he analyzed aerial and satellite imagery. He is also a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) and has spent his career at CENTROL working with consultant Nick Paulsrud. He enjoys reading, running, cooking, and spending time with his wife Mara and three sons Mark, Sebastien, and Judah.

Brandon Christ – Started with CENTROL in 2010. Brandon grew up near Dazey, ND and earned a Crop and Weed Science Degree from North Dakota State University. Brandon is also a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA). Brandon lives in Valley City, ND with his wife Sarah and son Gannon. He enjoys hunting, golfing, and spending time outdoors.

Connor Cook – started with CENTROL in 2012 as a field scout. Grew up on a farm in Sabin MN, and holds a B.S. Degree in crop and weed science from North Dakota State University. Lives in Moorhead MN, in free time enjoy golfing, hunting, and fishing.

Darren Dunham – started with CENTROL in 2013. Darren grew up on a farm near Tower City, North Dakota. He is a 1993 graduate of NDSU with a BS degree in crop and weed science and is CCA certified. He lives near Newburg North Dakota with his wife Debbie and their four children; daughter Adair, sons Dawson, Dexter, and Andrew. He enjoys gardening, birding, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family in the outdoors.

Marvin Ebach – began with CENTROL in 1988.  Marvin grew up in Menoken, ND and earned a B.S. degree in General Agriculture from North Dakota State University. 

He is a Certified Professional Crop Consultant – Independent (CPCC-I) and a member of the Cass County Ag Improvement Association.  He has three children.  

In his free time, Marvin enjoys golfing and hunting.

Josh Erbes – started scouting for CENTROL in 2006.  Josh grew up near Barney, ND. In 2008, he graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in Crop and Weed Sciences.  Josh lives near Argusville, ND with his wife Kelsey.  He enjoys hunting and fishing as well as spending time at the lake.  What Josh enjoys most about CENTROL is “working closely with farmers, being on the leading edge of agriculture, and providing unbiased recommendations.”

Patrick Estvold – started scouting for CENTROL in 2004.  Pat grew up in Lakota, ND and now lives in Larimore with his wife, Jen, and son Ryan.  Pat holds a B.S. in Crop Production Sales and Service from North Dakota State College of Science and a degree in Crop and Weed Science from North Dakota State University and is also a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA).  He enjoys bow hunting, fishing, and spending time at the lake. Pat Foster – started with CENTROL in 2006 as a scout in the Fargo area. He grew up on his family farm located near Britton, SD.  Pat holds a B.S. in Crop and Weed Sciences and a Minor in Agribusiness from North Dakota State University and is a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA). He enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Pat resides in Groton, SD.  Before starting with CENTROL he worked in
the HRSW Seed Lab at NDSU.

Austin Fuchs – He started as a summer scout with CENTROL in 2013, and was hired full time in 2015 by Rick Trudel after graduating from NDSU with a B.S. in Crop and Weed Science. Austin currently lives in Moorhead, MN. He enjoys Minnesota sports, music and concerts, and the outdoors, especially fishing trips to Canada and Lake of the Woods.

Ben Genereux – started scouting with CENTROL in 2011. Grew up in Crookston, MN and holds a B.S. in Agronomy Crop Production from the University of Minnesota Crookston as well as being a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA). In his free time he enjoys fishing, hunting, gardening, spending time with family and friends.

Troy Hamre – has been with CENTROL since 1994.  Troy grew up on a farm near Beltrami, MN and holds an Associate Degree in Crop Production from the University of Minnesota, Crookston, a B.S. in Crop and Weed Science from North Dakota State University and is a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA).  

He currently lives in Crookston, with his wife Stacy and four children.  He enjoys farming, hunting, and fishing.  Troy enjoys helping his farmers succeed.

Keith Hennen – started with CENTROL as a scout in 1986 and became a full-time consultant in 1988.  Keith earned a B.S. degree in Agronomy from North Dakota State University with majors in Ag Mechanization and Crop Production and he is certified as a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA).  He lives near Borup, MN with his wife, Darla.  They have 4 children, Jeremy, Marissa, Jace, and Kassidi.  His hobbies include coaching basketball, golf, hunting, and family activities.  The things that he likes best about his job is being unbiased and independent and helping farmers make good decisions.

Kevin Hollands – began with CENTROL in 1983.  Kevin grew up in a farm near Fisher, MN.  He is certified as a Technical Service Provider, a Certified Professional Crop Consultant-Independent (CPCC-I) and a Certified Professional Agronomist (CPAg) and holds a B.S. in Agronomy from North Dakota State University. Kevin was named the NAICC National Consultant of the year in 2009.  Kevin lives north of Fisher, MN with his wife, Darlyne.  He enjoys hunting big and small game, fishing  and golfing.  Kevin states, “We have a wealth of knowledge and experience when combining the minds of our team of consultants!  It has always given me “great satisfaction” to be a part of this company and helping growers make the right decisions.

Chris Huffman – started with CENTROL as field scout in 2016. In the fall of 2018, he was hired full time by Mike Kasowski. He now lives in Crookston, MN, where he was born and raised. He holds a B.S. degree in Agronomy and Agricultural Business from the University of Minnesota Crookston. In his free time, he enjoys hunting of any kind, especially deer hunting, keeping up with Minnesota sports, and helping out on various grower’s farms.

My favorite parts about working for CENTROL are the family atmosphere that we as a company have and the challenge of what each day will bring. Nothing is ever the same, and working in agriculture keeps me always learning and striving to do the best job possible for our growers.

Ethan Hulst – started with CENTROL in 2012 upon graduating from the University of Minnesota – Crookston with a B. S. in Agronomy. In 2011, as a member of UMC’s Crop’s Team Ethan earned All American Honors in grain grading, seed analysis, and plant and seed identification. Ethan, his wife Samantha, and their dog Kona, live in Crookston, MN. Hobbies that Ethan enjoy include hunting, fishing, and growing food plots.

Robin Hulst – started with CENTROL in 1986.  Robbie grew up in Roseau, MN and holds a B.S. in Agronomy from North Dakota State University.  Robbie, his wife Cindy and sons Elliot and Ethan live near Crookston, MN.  In his free time, he enjoys gardening, hunting, time at the lake, traveling and spending time with family and friends.  Robbie states, “Helping my growers be as profitable at possible has always been my goal.”

Chris Johnson – began with CENTROL in 1997.  Chris grew up in Kindred, ND and holds a B.S. in Ag Systems Management with a Minor in Ag Economics and Crop and Weed Science from North Dakota State University.  He is also a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA).  Chris lives near Wild Rice, ND with his wife, Dawn, and their red lab, Remi. Chris enjoys aviation and is a private pilot. What he likes about CENTROL is the fact that we are employee-owned and work with people who enjoy their jobs, just like he does.

Mike Kasowski – began with CENTROL in 1982.  Mike grew up on a family farm near Buffalo, ND.  Mike holds a B.S. Degree in Agronomy from North Dakota State University.  He is a Certified Professional Crop Consultant-Independent (CPCC-I), Certified Professional Agronomist (CPAg), and the 2003 BASF/NAICC Consultant of the Year. Mike and his wife, Gail, reside south of Fisher and have raised four children. He enjoys watching sports, golfing, traveling, and spending time with family. 

Mike states,  “In agriculture, every year, every day is a challenge. You can control so many things, yet are totally at the mercy of the weather and Mother Nature.  Each year, there is such a rush that comes from watching seeds being sown and eventually becoming mature plants that produce food for the betterment of my growers, the Red River Valley, the United States, and the world.”

Nick Kasowski – began working for CENTROL in 2002. He grew up near Fisher, MN and received his Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy from the University of Minnesota, Crookston.

Nick lives in West Fargo, ND with his wife Cassie and 3 children, Hudson, Reece, and Brody. 

In his spare time, Nick enjoys a wide variety of sports and recreation. 

Nick states, “I strongly believe in what we do as a company. We provide a non-biased opinion with the farmer’s best interest in mind.”

Ben Kettner – started scouting for CENTROL in 2009. He graduated from North Dakota State University with a B.S. degree in Crop and Weed Sciences and a minor in Agribusiness.  Ben grew up on a family farm near Mahnomen, MN and continues to live there. He enjoys spending his time outdoors golfing, hunting and ice fishing as well as spending time with family and friends. “The best part of this job is that I have the privilege to work closely with great farmers and co-workers. I enjoy being able to offer neutral opinions and provide unbiased recommendations based on the situation at hand.”

Kaleb Klein – Started with CENTROL in 2012. Kaleb grew up on a farm outside of Carrington. He has his Associates degree in Agricultural Industry and Technologies from Bismarck State. Kaleb, his wife Nikki, and their daughter Hartley live in Bismarck. He works with Brett Peterson. In his free time he enjoys traveling, bow hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

His favorite part about working for CENTROL is monitoring different types of crops, and helping farmers reach optimal yield potential.

Greg Krieger – started with CENTROL in 1987.  Greg grew up near White Earth, ND.  He holds a B.S. in Agronomy and Horticulture from NDSU, and is a Certified Crop Consultant.  He and his wife, Allison, have three children and live near Galesburg, ND.  Greg enjoys anything related to plants and is a fervent supporter and promoter of the state’s young grape and wine industry.  When asked what he likes about his job, he said “great customers, terrific company, different responsibilities every week, and continuous challenges.  I really enjoy what I do.”

Ryan Langerud – began with CENTROL in 1998.  He grew up in Edinburg, ND and holds a B.S. in Plant Industries Management-Agronomy from the University of Minnesota-Crookston. 

He is also a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA).  Some of his hobbies include golfing, snowmobiling, fishing and hunting.  Ryan especially enjoys hunting pheasants in the fall with his dogs and good friends.

Zeb Lenoue – started with Centrol in 2012 as a scout. He grew up in Breckenridge, MN. After attending North Dakota State College of Science and North Dakota State University he was hired full-time in the fall of 2018 working for Jake Woltjer in the Mooreton, ND area. In his spare time, he enjoys being at the lake, hunting, and fishing.

Doug Lenz – started with CENTROL in 1986.  Doug grew up in Beltrami, MN and has a B.S. in Agronomy from North Dakota State University.  He is a member of the National Alliance of Independent Crop Consultants (NAICC), Agricultural Consultants Association of ND (ACAND), and is certified as a Certified Professional Crop Consultant (CPCC-I).  Doug lives near Buxton, North Dakota with his wife and four children, and enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and farming.  CENTROL challenges each person to be better each year, and he loves the teamwork and group strength of innovative and competitive individuals.

Grant Manock – started with CENTROL as a field scout in 2014. Grant grew up in Wahpeton, North Dakota and holds agriculture degrees from North Dakota State College of Science as well as North Dakota State University and is a Certified Crop Advisor.  He currently lives in Wahpeton and enjoys hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycle.

Paul Metzger – started with CENTROL in 1997.  Paul grew up near Fisher, MN and has enjoyed living in the area his whole life.  Paul attended the University of Minnesota Crookston where he graduated with a B.S. in Agronomy.  He is a member of the NAICC.  He and his wife, Michon, currently live south of Fisher along the Red Lake River.  In his spare time Paul enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, and scuba diving.  He is a certified diver for the G.F. County Dive & Rescue Team.  Paul states, “The best parts of working for CENTROL are being unbiased in our decision making, taking pride in working for a company that we own, and having a job that keeps me in the outdoors all summer long.”

Dan Moser – has been with CENTROL since 1990.  Dan was born in Minot, ND and grew up in Larimore, ND.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Crop and Weed Science from North Dakota State University.  Dan is CCA certified and is a member of the National Alliance of Independent Crop Consultants.  In 2002, he was awarded the Consultant of the Year Award. Dan’s hobbies include hunting, fishing, going to the lake, and traveling.  He enjoys sharing ownership of the company and being his own boss.

Jason Okeson – Grew up near Buxton, ND. Started working with CENTROL full-time in 2009 after I finished my Crop and Weed Science Degree and NDSU.

My wife Sara, daughters Lexi, Maci and I live outside of Buxton, ND. In my free time I enjoy fishing, hunting, and spending time outdoors.

I enjoy working closely with our farmers to work through challenges, do the best for them, and helping them be successful.

Karen Olson – began with CENTROL in March of 1982.  Karen was born in Moorhead, MN and grew up in Moorhead and Gary, MN.  She earned a degree in Accounting from MSCTC-Moorhead.  Karen and her husband, Steve, live near Twin Valley, MN and have four grown children: Nick, Nate, Erika, and Ashley.  Karen has been active in the Norman County East Dollars for Scholars organization, a Supervisor at the Pine to Prairie Credit Union and is very active in her church.  Karen thoroughly enjoys being a grandparent and keeping up with her grandchildren’s activities.  She also enjoys spending time with friends as well as gardening.  She finds her work at CENTROL extremely rewarding and thoroughly enjoys the people with whom she works.

Matt Olson – Matt Olson – started with CENTROL in 1997. He is a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) and holds a B.S. in Crop and Weed Science from NDSU. Matt lives in Valley City, ND with his wife and three children.

He enjoys working with progressive producers and helping them become more profitable through sound agronomic decisions.

Nick Paulsrud – began with CENTROL in 1998. Nick grew up on a farm along the Red River, near Halstad, MN.  Nick holds a B.S. degree from the University of Minnesota, Crookston.

Nick and his wife, Lakken, reside in Valley City, ND and he enjoys snowmobiling and playing basketball in his spare time.

Brett Peterson – started with CENTROL in 2008.  Brett grew up in Mayville, ND and holds a B.S. in Crop and Weed Science from North Dakota State University.  Brett and his wife, Lindsey, and chocolate lab, Abe, reside in Bismarck, ND.  In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, and anything involved with whitetails and archery. Ross Peterson – began scouting for CENTROL in 2008. Cameron Roundy – Cameron started with CENTROL in 2012. He holds a B.S. degree in Crop and Weed Science from North Dakota State University as well as being a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA). He lives in Carrington, ND with his wife Ellen and son Sutton. In his free time, he likes to go hunting, play softball, travel with family and friends, and watch sports.

Jared Schaefer – He started with CENTROL in 2017. Jared grew up in Thief River Falls, MN and has a bachelor’s degree in Crop and Weed Science from North Dakota State University.

Dan Schindele – started with CENTROL in 1989.  Dan grew up in Stephen, MN and attended North Dakota State University where he earned a B.S. degree in Crop and Weed Science.  He is a member of the National Alliance of Independent Crop Consultants and is a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA).  Dan lives near Park River, ND with his wife, Phyllis, and enjoys shooting trap, hunting, and horses. Dan says that “the growers that I work with make the job fun, and make me want to go the extra mile. Craig Schroeder – started with CENTROL in 2003.  Craig grew up in rural Oriska, ND and holds a General Ag degree from NDSU. Craig and his wife Kya now live near Valley City, ND.

Brandon Schulzetenberg – started working with CENTROL in 2011. Brandon grew up in central Minnesota and attended NDSU. He holds a B.S. in Crop and Weed Science and a minor in Ag Business. Brandon lives in Gwinner, ND and is a Certified Crop Advisor. During his free time he enjoys bow hunting and learning about new ways to bring value to his growers.

Derek Sondrol – has been with CENTROL since 2011. He grew up in Turtle Lake ND, and now, lives in Bismarck. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and golfing. Graduated from BSC with a degree in agriculture industry and technology (agronomy).

I enjoy working with great people and having access to decades of combined knowledge.

Bruce Sukut – started with CENTROL in 2007. He grew up near Gackle, ND. He earned a B.S. degree in Crop and Weed Sciences from NDSU in 2007.

He is also a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA). He currently lives in Valley City, ND with his wife and two children.

He enjoys working with Centrol because of the great network of co-workers and the non-biased advice that we provide.

Billy Thompson – Started with CENTROL in 2008. Billy grew up in Park River, ND and holds a B.S. in Agronomy from University of Minnesota, Crookston. Billy, his wife Theresa, and kids, Blair, Kelsey, and Connor live in Park River, ND. In his spare time, Billy enjoys hunting and fishing and spending time with family, including watch the kids play hockey.

Rick Trudel – has been with CENTROL since 1987.  Rick grew up in Cando, ND and earned a B.S. degree in Crop Production – Weed Science and a minor in Psychology and Ag Mech from North Dakota State University.  Before starting with CENTROL, Rick bartended, and was a king crab fisherman based out of Dutch Harbor, Alaska. He also spent a summer in England and golfed every course where the British Open had been held.  Rick and his wife, DaRinda, reside in Glyndon, MN and have three children.  He enjoys hunting deer, geese, ducks, pheasants, and prairie chickens, fishing, snowmobiling, and playing poker.  When asked what he enjoys most about his job, he said “working with the best farmers in the area, and knowing that I am making the correct recommendation based on the cards that are dealt at the time.”

Cheri Syverson – started in June of 2012. Cheri grew up on a farm near Ada, MN and graduated from MSCTC-Moorhead in 2005 with a degree in Dental Assisting. After making a career change, Cheri spent several years doing administrative and accounting work at a local car dealership.  Cheri and her husband live in Twin Valley, MN and have two children, Mason and Kacie. Cheri says she thoroughly enjoys her job at CENTROL and in her free time loves spending it with friends and family, shopping, and at the lake or camping.

Mike Van Eps – started with CENTROL in 1993.  Mike was raised in Hancock, MN with seven older siblings.  He holds an Associate of Science Degree in Horticulture from the University of Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Crop and Weed Science from North Dakota State University.  Mike is a member of the NAICC, a Technical Service Provider (TSP) for the NRCS and a Certified Crop Advisor.  He and his wife, Julie, live in Wahpeton, North Dakota with their two daughters and son.  Mike enjoys boating, hunting, fishing, and biking.  Mike states, “What sets us apart from other companies is the ability to share information among ourselves. No one knows everything, but I am not the only source of information to my customers. I can bring all of CENTROL’s knowledge to them.”

Bennett Weller – started with CENTROL In 2015. Bennett grew up near Brooten, MN and holds a degree in Crop and Weed Science from North Dakota State University as well as being a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA). Bennett lives near Barnesville, MN and enjoys hunting, fishing, spending time with friends and family, and helping out on his parents’ farm when he gets the chance.

His favorite thing about working for CENTROL is “having the wealth of knowledge from the entire company available at all times to help provide the highest level of service to our growers.”

Drew Werven – started scouting with CENTROL in 2015 while getting his B.S. in Agronomy from the University of Minnesota. Drew grew up just outside of Cavalier, ND where his love of the outdoors began. When he’s not scouting fields or talking with growers he enjoys playing golf with friends, long motorcycle rides and hunting of any sort.

What I love best about CENTROL is the family atmosphere within the company. And also getting to know the growers and their operations, and providing recommendations that are unbiased that’ll help them be as profitable as possible on their farm.

Jeremy Wald – started with CENTROL in 2002.  Jeremy earned a B.S. degree in Agricultural Education with a Crop and Weed Science Minor from North Dakota State University. He is CCA certified and is a member of the NAICC. Jeremy lives in Rugby with his wife, Jamie, and their son, Jaden, and daughter Reagan. Jeremy is a member of Little Flower Catholic Church in Rugby, the Knights of Columbus, and the Eagles. He enjoys hunting, and reading.  Jeremy states, “I enjoy getting to be my own boss while providing information to the great farmers that I work closely with.”

Jake Woltjer – started with CENTROL in 1994.  Jake grew up near Twin Valley, MN. He graduated from NDSU with a B.S. in Crop and Weed Science and a B.S. in Crop Protection. Jake is a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA), a member of the National Alliance of Independent Crop Consultants (NAICC), and member of the North Dakota Crop Consultants.  Jake lives in Mooreton, ND, with his wife Emily, their son Luke and daughters Harper and Maren. In his spare time he enjoys racing, hunting, fishing, and golfing.
